3 laps in Culmore bay. A long race in very light winds with first across the line completing the course in 81 mins 22 secs. Anton H  picked the wrong spot within 5 yrds of the finish line and was swept back by the tide taking another 15 minutes to cross the line. Best forgotten!

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

SW F3, gusting F4. 1 capsize in race one, and 2 unusual ones in R2, despite which everyone finished within 8 mins of each other. Race 2 became quite competitive  when a visiting ship decided to take part, and also obstructed the course for a while.

Thursday July 15th

Force 2-3, strong tide, but steadier NE heavy breeze. Similar course to Tuesdays. A few problems caused by low water levels at lower marks. The atmospheric conditions made a thunderstorm seem likely, however the crack when it came, was not from the skies but Anthony and Todds Scorpion mast, as it finally snapped from the pressures of the great performance they have been squeezing out of their boat recently. Hope to see them back again soon.
