A fine day with winds from North about F2-3. Sailing from the perch to Black Brae, to Conniborrow to the Power station X2.
Ken and Davy were in great form, great course strategy and competitiveness. Thanks to James H on rescue. Ciaran D took a PICO out and a nice sail.

Great to see George G straight back out after a nasty spill on Saturday. Gallagher Bros sailing very well. Sailing in Culmore Bay with very strong tides especially at the end of the race.

Windy and shifty. It was tough going for the single handed boats with capsizes for GG and KT. Sailing in Culmore bay with the heavy weather Johnsons in superb form. Thanks to James H Snr on rescue boat.

Bill J started very well but somehow could not hold on. The G bros sailed very well to come first and Ken and Davy managed to battle their way into 2nd.
Micheal C missed a mark and was DSQ. Sorry about that Mike, these Culmore OD’s are tough! Anton H was following Micheal C but realised and doubled back figuring it was better to loose time than trying a plea to the OD…to which there would be no f chance.
A nice evening for sailing with good wind if a little overcast. Sailing this evening in Culmore bay.

Ken and Davy are straight back on form.

Two DSQ’s today. The Gallaghers were over the line (On Course Side) and Bill was DSQ for some other reason. But in general it was fine sunny day and Kieran D got some very nice photos…on FB.
A big welcome to Michael C who started racing today in his new Laser and is sailing very well and has started the season with a win in the second race. He has been awarded an LFYC Handicap of 1180.

Racing started this season on a nice day. Light but consistent winds (F2-3).
Racing in Culmore Bay. Welcome to Mike M sailing with Anton H. Sailing for Mike and Anto today included a capsize drill. Chilly business this time of year. Ciaran and Eva are sailing well in their GP. Great to see Dermot Downey out in his new Laser. George G started the season with a nice 2nd place. Too easy for Alan and Owen – they must be caught!
